「大学の研究科の名称や求人広告などでグローバルやグローバル人材という言葉が最近よく使われています。学校や企業での昇進ではいつも「グローバル人材」であることが求められるのですが、この言葉の解釈は人によって非常にポジティブである場合もあればあまりよくないものかもしれません。「グローバル」は国境を超えた広い視野を指すこともできるし、何か力強く特権的なニュアンスを用いて使われる印象もあります。グローバルという言葉に対する反応や理解の仕方を、疑問や違和感も含めて参加者同士で話してみたいと思います。」

‘Recently we often find the word global or global human resources in university administration or job advertisements. We are often asked to be a global person at school or company promotions, but such word may have very different impressions/interpretations from positive to problematic. Global could mean a broad view of things that are not limited to just one region, but internationally. At the same time, it is used as a very powerful and privileged term. We’d like to share each reactions or understandings to the word global including questions or discomfort towards it.’
