価値ある生活のためのアート - Art for a life worth living アイセア・バルセニーラ

1990年代より経済学の一領域となってきたフェミニスト経済学は、「再生産」を生活の中心におき、生活のサステイナビリティ（持続可能性）や自然や社会的な関係性の価値に着目した研究で注目されています。地域におけるアートプロジェクトやまちづくりの活動もまた、「労働」や「資本主義経済」とは別の理論に基づき、社会や生活を見直し、隠れたり見過ごされてきた地域資源を掘り起こし、新たな価値観の提示を試みるなど、共通性があるように思われます。こうした観点から、日本のアートセンターやまちづくりの現場を４ヶ月にわたってリサーチしてきたバルセニーラが、これまでの調査活動のレポートとそこから見えてくるアートやキュレーションの可能性についてお話します。
アイセア・バルセニーラ
サンセバスチャン（スペイン、バスク地方）生まれ。批評家やインディペンデント・キュレーターとしての活動のほか、バスク大学で美術史、博物館学及びキュレーションについての教鞭を執る。彼女のリサーチは、フェミニズム経済学におけるコモンズ及び生きがいの概念、それらがキュレーターの実践と芸術的研究にどのように影響するかについてジェンダーの視点からの歴史の再訪、という2つの関心軸を中心に展開している。2016年にはAIT[アーツ・イニシアティヴ・トウキョウ]とスペインの文化機関タバカレーラとの交流プログラムにより１ヶ月間日本に滞在。 最近の活動では、フランス財団が主宰するニュー・パトロン・スキームの一環として、ビルバオのゾロザウレ地区で行われた、チリ出身のアーティスト、アンドレア・アコスタによる書籍「Manual de Uso」の制作を手がけたほか、アートセンター・タバカレーラと、バスク地方の自治体エルナニとの恊働により、アーティスト集団ポラロイスカによる映像作品「Andrekale」の制作にも携わるなど、アーティストとのプロジェクトを積極的に展開している。

Art for a life worth living ― Haizea Barcenilla
In her talk, Haizea Barcenilla will sketch some points of entry to the research she is currently carrying out in Japan. She will depart from the idea of a life worth living presented in feminist economics, to see if it could have some reflection in certain art and curatorial practices. Feminist economics puts reproduction in the center of life, concentrating on the sustainability of life, nature and the social affect relationships constructed to achieve this. Can curatorial programs and artistic proposals give visibility to all the obscured levels of existence? How can they help us approach new kinds of relationships where productive labour and capitalist accumulation are not the main aim in life?

Haizea Barcenilla
Haizea Barcenilla is an art critic, curator and art history lecturer at the University of the Basque Country. Her research revolves around two axes of interest: on the one hand, the concepts of commons and a life worth living found in feminist economics, and how they can influence curatorial practice and artistic research; on the other one, the revisitation of history from a gender point of view. She has written extensively on both topics, including a PhD about curating and the commons, and also curated and produced various artworks and exhibitions. The recent ones are framed in the New Patrons scheme, in which she helped develop and produce the publication Manual de Uso by artist Andrea Acosta about the Zorrozaurre neighborhood in Bilbao, and the video Andrekale by Señora Polaroiska, with the collaboration of Tabakalera, for the town of Hernani.
